“Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus” (CLas) is the causal agents of citrus Huanglongbing (also known as yellow shoots disease or citrus greening disease), a highly destructive disease currently threatening citrus production worldwide. In Thailand, HLB was first appeared in 1960’s, and, initially, was only observed in citrus orchards from northern and central regions before 1970’s. As of 1993, HLB was prevalent in citrus orchards throughout Thailand and caused a significantly decline of citrus fruit yield in Thailand
