There is currently no effective treatment for preeclampsia (PE) other than termination of pregnancy. In this study, we investigated whether simvastatin, a lipophilic statin, can be a preventive and therapeutic treatment for PE in PE model mice. We performed RNA-seq using the placenta of the model mice to investigate the mechanism by which simvastatin exerts its effect.
