Key data and code for "Urbanization exacerbates intensification of short-duration rainfall extremes in a warming climate"
收藏资源简介:
This repository folder contains data and Matlab function scripts that are used as the basis for the paper "Urbanization exacerbates intensification of short-duration rainfall extremes in a warming climate" The data include - 30-year hourly 0.1° rainfall data over the Greater Bay Area (GBA), China, obtained by multi-source merging and correction techniques - land-use maps of the area in 1980 and 2018 - boundary polygons of the GBA in WGS1984 The codes include - scripts to calculate the annual maximum rain rate of the gridded rainfall data for different durations - fundamental scripts for nonstationary frequency analysis of annual maximum rain rate, examples performed for the gridded data of the GBA - scripts to differentiate the grids as urbanized/rural ones based on the land-use data for the purpose of results comparison after the frequency analysis - the function to perform Man-Kendall trend analysis for the calculated nonstationary return levels Please cite this resource and the paper if you find our data/codes helpful.
