Association between nutritional status and dental caries experience in children and adolescents

The aim of this study was to evaluate and summarize evidence regarding the association between dental caries and nutritional status in children and adolescents through an overview of systematic reviews (SR). A wide search was conducted on 29th May 2023 in 6 databases followed by an additional search in the gray literature and in the list of references of the included SR. The inclusion criteria were based on acronym PECOS. Two reviewers independently performed the data extraction, evaluated the risk of bias (ROBIS), quality assessment (AMSTAR-2) and assessed the certainty of the evidence using the GRADE based on the included meta-analyses.
