Physical Processes in the new Gamma Ray Binary 3FGL J1405.4-6119

We have discovered a new member of the rare and poorly understood class ofhighmass gammaray binaries: 3FGL J1405.46119. The system shows gammaray,radio and Xray modulation on its 13.7 day period, with different patterns ateach waveband. The existing Xray data, while clearly showing the period, areinsufficient to perform phaseresolved spectroscopy, which is needed toinvestigate the physics driving the emission and its orbital variability.
