资源简介:
The Sea Grant College Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is one of 29 programs funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to carry out Congress' mandate. While MIT supplements NOAA's financing, other government, industry and research groups also contribute to the program. Funded by MIT Sea Grant, engineers and scientists from the University of Massachusetts, at both the Boston and Amherst campuses, Boston University and MIT are helping fulfill Sea Grant's mission. Spanning the disciplines, these researchers are contributing their expertise to such areas such as automation in the manufacture of marine systems, coastal processes, biotechnology and underwater work systems. This report highlights some specific accomplishments in those areas and others.
