The uploaded files are the data used in the study of "Raindrop Size Distributions Simulated Using a Bin Microphysics Scheme: Different Biases in Stratiform and Convective Rain from an Extratropical Cyclone"
The "observation_RSD_RSDparameters.csv" and "simulation_RSD_RSDparameters.csv" are the raindrop size distribution and its intergral parameters (rain rate, mass weighted mean diameter, normalized intercept parameter) observed from the Parsivel² disdrometer with a sampling interval of 1 minute and simulated by the WRF simulation with a bin microphysics scheme with a time interval of 2 minute.
The "raindropNumber_vertical_Seoul.nc" and "snowNumber_vertical_Seoul.nc" are the number concentration of raindrop and snow at the Seoul site (37.45°N, 126.95°).
These data are vertically interpolated from 0 to 20 km with 100 m interval.
The information for diameter bins of the bin microphysics scheme is given in "diameterInformation_simulation.csv"
The "hydrometeor_Seoul.nc" and "conversion_Seoul.nc" contains the hydrometeor mixing ratios and microphysical conversion rates at Seoul site, which are also vertically interpolated from 0 to 20 km with 100 m interval.
The "conversion_Seoul_LargeRaindrops.nc" and "conversion_Seoul_SmallRaindrops.nc" contain the microphysical conversion rates related to raindrops with diameters larger and smaller than 0.91 mm, which are also vertically interpolated from 0 to 20 km with 100 m interval.
The "convesrion_Seoul_snow.nc" contains the microphysical conversion rates of snow with an equivalent melted diameter of 3.3 mm, which are also vertically interpolated from 0 to 20 km with 100 m interval.
