资源简介:
African swine fever is ranked by OIE as the most important source of mortality in domestic pigs globally and has recently spread from Africa to the Caucasus, Russia, Western Europe and most recently China and adjacent regions of South East Asia with huge socioeconomic impact. To date, two of the twenty-four currently described ASFV genotypes defined by sequencing of the p72 gene (numbers I and II) have been reported outside Africa. Genotype II is the cause of an ongoing pig pandemic in Europe, Russia and East Asia. Several complete genotype II genome sequences have been reported from Asian and European isolates that are ultimately derived from the index case in Georgia in 2007. We report herein the complete genotype II sequence of a Tanzanian isolate, Tanzania/Rukwa/2017/1, collected in March 2017. This was determined using an Illumina short read platform and a total infected porcine macrophage DNA template, without viral DNA enrichment. This Tanzanian ASFV sequence was compared to previously published genotype II genomes.
