Additional material for the presentation A Reproducible Approach to assessing multilingual metadata in Cultural Heritage collections

This repository is part of the presentation "A Reproducible Approach to assessing multilingual metadata in Cultural Heritage collections" for the DARIAH Annual Event 2026 in Rome.

This repository extracts translations included in the National Library of Spain, in particular, the dataset https://datosabiertos.bne.es/catalogo/dataset/catalogo-bibliografico-monografias-modernas1. In order to work with long json files, we employed the ijson python package (pip install ijson).

The repository provides the python code and the extracted data in JSON format from the original dataset.

Additional data was employed for the analysis, in particular, the dataset BOSLIT (Bibliography of Scottish Literature in Translation) available at the Data Foundry, National Library of Scotland.
