This study will conduct a high throughput sequencing survey of viruses found in cultivated crops and potential viral reservoirs. This will identify plant viruses in Irish crops and uncultivated margins, and establish a database of crop viral sequences to (i) support development of improved diagnostic tools for surveillance programmes, and (ii) identify potential reservoirs of plant viruses.
