Carbon cycle and microbiota associated with methane emission in Ebro Delta as a tool for wetlands conservation

This work aims to study the behavior of wetlands associated with deltaic environments, based on the analysis of the Ebro Delta wetlands carbon cycle, and its relationship with the microbiota associated with sediment. Some conservation measures will be defined from the results obtained, to protect these aquatic ecosystems, and strengthen their climate mitigating capacity, the promotion of carbon retention metabolisms and the reduction of degradative processes and GHG emission.
