WAU009 - Wauyai Maˈya - Possessive paradigms (body parts, kin terms)

This dataset contains elicited possessive paradigms from the Wauyai dialect of Maˈya with Pilipus Gimla (born 1955), a native speaker of Wauyai Maˈya. The possessed nouns in these paradigms cover the semantic domains of body parts and kin terms (corresponding to page 11 in the Fieldnotes) The session was recorded on 19 February 2023, in Waimalata hamlet (Waigeo island, Raja Ampat regency, Southwest Papua province, Indonesia). This dataset relates to the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship 'Synchronic and diachronic investigations in Raja Ampat-South Halmahera, a little-known subbranch of Austronesian'.
