First,12 pigs with extremely higher and lower DL both at 24 h and 48 h post-mortem were selected for transcriptome sequencing. Then, the R package DESeq2 and WGCNA were integrated to obtain the intersection genes, and functional enrichment analysis of these intersection genes was performed using the DAVID website. Furthermore, PPI analysis based on the Strings website and two types of machine learning methods, Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator and Support Vector Machine-Recursive Feature Elimination, were performed to identify the key genes affecting drip loss. Finally, a single-gene GSEA was performed to annotate the function of these genes.
