Data and code for a reproducible municipal climate vulnerability assessment: sub-indicator distributions across the 110 Italian provincial capitals

Supporting dataset and analysis code for a study presenting an integrated, reproducible framework for municipal climate vulnerability assessment under the Covenant of Mayors, combining thirty-year climate trend analysis with the Hamed-Rao modified Mann-Kendall test, FAO-56 reference evapotranspiration with a drought proxy, and a vulnerability assessment based on the Triangle of Relative Indices. The deposit contains the twenty-four datasets referenced in the article's Supplementary Materials, the eight Python scripts that produce the analyses and figures, the raw source extractions before filtering, and the calculation workbook in which every composite index is computed with live formulas. Seventeen of the nineteen sub-indicators of the vulnerability model are normalised against distributions observed across all 110 Italian provincial capitals, released by ISTAT, ISPRA, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance and the State General Accounting Office; each dataset carries the provider, the identifier or query and the date of extraction in its notes sheet. The two sub-indicators that could not be anchored to a comparable municipal distribution are documented as such, and the robustness of the zone assignment to the one value that could not be traced to a source is reported as a break-even analysis in the workbook.
