In this project we investigated the onset and progression of the salivary and gut microbiota in the first six months of life in healthy new-borns.We characterized, by 16S rRNA targeted-metagenomics approach, the microbiota of faecal and salivary samples, collected at birth, 7, 15, 30, 90 and 180 days of new borns life.
