Prior to factory shipment of luminaires, the Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of street lamps intended for road lighting in Valencia is collected to determine the energy efficiency rating of the luminaires, adapt to the lighting requirements of this specific scenario, guide the optimized design of the luminaires, and improve their energy-saving performance and service life.
1. Data Source:
Prior to factory shipment, finished street lamps intended for road lighting in Valencia are randomly sampled, and parameters including input voltage, current, luminous flux, and power factor are collected for these lamps.
2. Data Processing
(1) EEI analysis for luminaires based on the collected parameters:
EEI = P × PF / Pref = IV × PF / Pref;
where P is the rated power of the luminaire, PF is the power factor, Pref is the reference power of the lamp, and Φuse is the effective luminous flux of the lamp.
When Φuse < 1300 lm: Pref = 0.88√Φuse + 0.049 Φuse
When Φuse ≥ 1300 lm: Pref = 0.07341Φuse
(2) Energy efficiency rating classification:
If EEI ≤ 0.11, the rating is A++; if 0.11 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.17, the rating is A+; if 0.17 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.24, the rating is A; if 0.24 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.6, the rating is B; if 0.6 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.8, the rating is C; if 0.8 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.95, the rating is D; if EEI > 0.95, the rating is E.
3. Data Application:
The Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) is one of the key indicators for evaluating luminaire energy efficiency. Conducting EEI analysis prior to factory shipment of luminaires can meet the lighting requirements of street lamp applications for road lighting in Valencia. Meanwhile, it can provide data support for manufacturers to optimize the design schemes of luminaires, thereby improving the energy-saving performance and service life of the luminaires.
