This study characterizes the transcriptome-wide gene expression differences in the brain and gonads of initial phase (IP) males, females and terminal phase (TP) males in order to identify genes responsible for maintaining flexible sexual phenotypes and alternative mating tactics in a diandric protogynous hermaphrodite--the bluehead wrasse.
