Chemotaxis Raw Videos

These are some example of chemotaxis assay of C. elegans after different conditioning in the presence of Benzaldehyde as a chemical stimuli.The videos are recorded to analyse the navigational strategy adopted by worms after different conditioning. The worms are conditioned in 3 different manner which are, mock, aversive and sexual conditioning for three hours and then are tracked to see how they approach or avoid the chemical stimulus.The strains used here are all Him-5 and the assay are done using 1 day old adult male C. elegans. For the conditioning the worms are starved for 3 hours:Mock: As control in absence of any odourAversive: In the presence of benzaldehydeSexual: In the presence of benzaldehyde and mates (Hermaphrodites)After the conditioning the worm navigation is tracked.
