OMAP clone end sequence project for Oryza officinalis. Oryza officinalis strain:IRGC:100896

Oryza officinalis is a wild rice species found widely in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It has a CC genome. Breeders are interested because of demonstrated resistance to bacterial blight and brown plant hopper. Two libraries were produced. An 18.5X coverage BAC library was used to generate an FPC map. A shotgun library of randomly sheared DNA was used to generate sequence for repetitive DNA analysis.
