Protected Streams and Planning Areas

Interactive map application hosted by the Idaho Department of Water Resources to view planning basins, aquifer management areas and protected streams. This application shows some of the efforts taken to plan for the use of water in Idaho. The Idaho Water Resource Board is responsible for planning for the conservation, development, use, and management of water resources in the state of Idaho. Planning is accomplished through three primary programs: the Idaho State Water Plan; comprehensive basin planning; and comprehensive aquifer planning.
