Wastewater treatment plants have been recognised as hotspots for antibiotic-resistant bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes. By the comparison of treated watewater and treated wastewater receiving water body metagenomes we aimed to verify which antibiotic resistance genes may be maintained in the given freshwater enviroment.
