资源简介:
In total, approximately 30 animals were used from each of the 11 families for the experimental design (entirely randomized) to evaluate the growth and body parts yield (rib, loin and head). Each full-sib family was kept separate until the moment of pit-tagging (approximately 8 months old) in 1m³ tanks, connected to a water recirculation system, with mechanical and biological filters, external aeration system and temperature controlled by thermal controller connected to heater (2x500 w). Temperature, dissolved oxygen and pH were measured with the Multiparameter Water Quality Checker U-50 probe (Horiba, Kyoto, Japan). The water temperature was maintained at 30 °C (± 0.5), with dissolved oxygen at 5.0 mg / L (± 1.0) and pH at 7.2 (± 1.0). After tagging, the juveniles of the different families were weighed (initial weight) and distributed in three 200 m² earth ponds, with approx. 10 individuals from each family per tank. Then, each pond consisted of approximately 110 animals, which shared this environment during the evaluation period. The growth performance experiment was carried out for about 15 months. The mean values of the water parameters measured were: temperature (28.3 °C), pH (6.6) and oxygen (5.6 mg / l). The experimental ponds belong to the facilities of the Aquaculture Center of Unesp (Jaboticabal, Brazil), where the breeding nucleus is located. During the experiment, the fish were fed pelleted diets from 2 to 6 mm (36% crude protein, commercial diet Nutripiscis Presence). The amount of feed was established according to the biomass of each tank (5% of the total weight of fish), based on a sub-sample weighed every quarter. The fish were euthanized for the slaughtering experiment with benzocaine overdose (100 mg/L) and every effort was made to ensure animal welfare and minimize animal suffering. Seven growth traits were evaluated in the end of the growth period, obtaining the following measurements: total weight (We); standard length (SL), comprised between the anterior end of the head and the smallest perimeter of the caudal peduncle (region of insertion of the caudal fin); head length (HL), comprised between the anterior end of the head and the caudal edge of the operculum; head height (HH); height 1 (H1) of the body, measured in the region from the 1st ray of the dorsal fin to the 1st ray of the pelvic fin; pelvis length (PL), comprised between the anterior base of the pelvic fin and the anterior base of the anal fin; width (Wi). After biometrics, each fish was slaughtered in the following body regions: head, rib, loin, R+L (rib + loin) and carcass (corresponding to the vertebral skeleton, fins and viscera). The body regions were individually weighed with an analytical balance. Slaughtering was performed by one person. Yields were calculated by dividing the weight of the different body regions by the total body weight: head yield (% head), rib yield (% rib), loin yield (% loin) and R+L yield (% R+L).
