Climate vulnerability assessment of select Himalayan state 2019

This statistic shows the results of vulnerability assessment for India's Himalayan region in 2019, by select state. The vulnerability index for Assam was the highest at 0.72, while Sikkim was shown to be the least vulnerable state with an index of 0.42. The data was drawn out of the vulnerability index of twelve Indian Himalayan states.However, the study cautions that vulnerability is a relative measure and thus the assessment does not portray states with a low vulnerability index as less prone to risk in an absolute state. Rather, the assessment is only relative to other states.
