"Hang hinter Kilema. Oben in der Mitte sieht man noch die letzte Bananenschambe von Kilema" ("Slope behind Kilema. Up in the middle one can still see the last banana plantation of Kilema"). The slope is abundantly covered with vegetation. On a path through the trees and bushes a group of people seems to be making its way up. They are carrying boxes on their heads.; The picture was probably taken by Johannes Schanz (1876-1963). He worked as a missionary of the Leipzig Mission in Moshi and Mamba from 1901 to 1910.
