Eight F1 chickens were obtained by crossing a male of the Oh-Shamo breed with two females of the T line of the White Leghorn breed. These F1 chickens were crossed to obtain 273 F2 chickens. Genomic DNA extracted from the blood cells of all individuals was subjected to restriction-site associated DNA sequencing using two restriction enzymes, EcoRI and Bgl II, to create a high-density SNP linkage map of the F2 population.
