Alzheimer's disease is disorder whose characteristics is neuritic plaques and neurofibrillary tangles, mostly found at layers III and V. We performed Illumina High Throughput Sequencing and differential gene expression of Layer III, Layers V+VI, White Matter, and all together in both healthy controls and AD patients. We identified AD-associated layer-specific differences involving protein-coding and non-coding sequences.
