Trading in none timber forest products by the rural community around Mt Elgon national park in Uganda

The study aimed to provide empirical evidence on the contribution of the forest ecosystem on the welfare of local people . The objectives of the study were: To identify the forest related goods in the study area; To estimate the value of tradable forest products; To determine the socioeconomic factors that influence forest related income and; To identify the determinants of participating in forest related trade.
