Assembled Genome and Transcriptome of heterotardigrade Echiniscus testudo

We conducted a multi-omics study of a heterotardigrade Echiniscus testudo, one of the most desiccation tolerant species caught from the wild. Using ultra-low input library sequencing protocol from a single individual, we sequenced and assembled genome, and was annotated using RNA-Seq data. The genomic DNA was extracted and the sequencing library was sequenced on the MiSeq platform. The MiSeq reads were assembled with MaSuRCA. For RNA-Seq, the total RNA was extracted, and the sequencing library was sequenced on the NextSeq 500 platform. The RNA-Seq was assembled with Trinity.
