资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the study "The Behavioral Repercussions of Corruption Exposure: An Experimental Study on Anti-Corruption Messaging in China" The data were collected through an original, nationwide online survey experiment, in which respondents participated in a behavioral bribery game embedded within the survey. Respondents were randomly assigned to receive different types of anti-corruption messages (narrative or statistical) or to a control group with no messaging. The dataset includes measures of respondents' willingness to engage in bribery, demographic information, perceptions of corruption, media exposure, and various attitudinal and situational variables. Replication data from a follow-up sample and robustness checks based on real-world media exposure are also included. These data enable the analysis of heterogeneous treatment effects and support the study's examination of how informational anti-corruption interventions can yield unintended behavioral consequences among different population groups.
