Integrated full-length and Illumina RNA-seq transcriptomic analysis of Dioscorea polystachya

This BioProject presents a transcriptomic study of Chinese yam (Dioscorea polystachya) under two cultivation patterns: directional and conventional vertical cultivation. To construct a comprehensive reference transcriptome and precisely quantify gene expression, we implemented a hybrid sequencing approach integrating PacBio SMRT full-length sequencing and Illumina short-read RNA-seq. PacBio sequencing was performed on samples from leaves and tubers, while Illumina RNA-seq was used to profile leaves at different developmental stages.
