RDF triples generated from an air quality sample dataset for the region of Thessaloniki (GR)

This dataset contains historical air quality measurements for various pollutants, including particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and road traffic data. The data has been collected from sensors located throughout Thessaloniki (GR) during the period 2023/11/22-2024/07/31 (UTC). The data set has been transformed to RDF triples (attached generatedTTL.7z file) that can be uploaded to any triple store. RDF-Gen (see also here) has been used for the transformation of the data to RDF triples. The RDF-Gen configuration files has been also provided in this upload. RDF-Gen transforms the data from various formats (in this data set JSON, ShapeFile, CSV have been used) to enable: Data Interoperability/Integration: RDF enables data to be shared and reused across different applications and systems. Flexibility: RDF allows data to be represented in a flexible and extensible way, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Machine-readable: RDF semantically enrich data and enable machines “understand” the data, (enables automated reasoning, data integration, link discovery). The contents of this upload are the following: Sensors data set (input.7z/devices.7z): provides information about 8 devices (location, IMEI, etc). Transformed into 320 triples into the file generatedTTL.7z/mobiSpaces_UC2_devices.ttl (each device hosts 9 sensors). Observations data set (input.7z/sensorData.7z): Measurements reported by the sensors for the period [2023-11-22 15:00:00, 2024-07-31 14:00:00]. Transformed into 3,036,544 triples in the file generatedTTL.7z/mobiSpaces_UC2.ttl Road network (files input.7z/map.json and roadID_names.csv) : provides information about road segments (geometry, direction, etc). Transformed into 4,926 triples (in files generatedTTL.7z/mobiSpaces_UC2_map.ttl and mobiSpaces_UC2_map_names.ttl respectively) Road traffic emission data (file input.7z/RoadData_202408061222.csv.7z): reports hourly traffic emission observations and number/type of vehicles crossed each segment. Transformed into 55,072,452 triples (in file generatedTTL.7z/RoadTraffic.ttl) Land use data (file input.7z/land_use_thessaloniki.7z): An ESRI ShapeFile providing information about the land use in Thessaloniki (Open data available at https://maps.thessaloniki.gr/public/). Transformed into 64,036 triples (in file generatedTTL.7z/mobiSpaces_UC2_landUse.ttl) Weather data (file input.7z/thessaloniki_airport_16622_23.11.2022.01.08.2024.csv.7z): Reports the actual weather conditions every 3 hours (from 23/11/2022 to 01/08/2024) near the city of Thessaloniki, in 27 weather variables (4938 records). The data are publicly available at https://rp5.ru/Weather_archive_in_Thessaloniki_(airport) . Transformed into 804,968 triples (file generatedTTL.7z/mobiSpaces_UC2_weather.ttl) Also included the generated files mobispaces_UC2_nearest.ttl which precompute proximity and topological relations between sensors and road/land use geometries, and the set of triples mobispaces_UC2_topological.ttl which provides topological relations of road segments and sensors with land use geometries in the data. Finally, the mobiSpaces ontology (mobispaces_v1.ttl) is also incuded in this upload. This dataset can be used to: Simulate scenarios using air quality data, weather conditions and road traffic emissions Identify areas with poor air quality Support research on air pollution impacts For demonstrating purposes, the triples are also available through the triplestore at: http://83.212.96.16/demo_UC2.html This data set has been collected and transformed to RDF triples, under the EU research program "MobiSpaces — New data spaces for green mobility".
