Bulk RNA-seq of murine lung mesenchymal cells sorted after day 7 and day 14 of sham or pneumonectomy

The aim was to investigate the transcriptomic alterations that occur in lung mesenchymal cells during compensatory lung growth following unilateral partial pneumonectomy (PNX). The hypothesis is that during lung re-growth, these cells upregulate the alveolar myofibroblast signature that is active during developmental alveologenesis Lung mesenchymal cells defined as EpCAM- CD45- CD31- (triple negative) were FACS-sorted from sham or pneumonectomized lungs at days 7 or 14 after surgery, and subjected to bulk RNA-seq.
