Processed MERRA-2 Dataset for Solar Irradiance and Wind Speed Prediction in Dynamic Economic Emission Dispatch

This dataset contains meteorological time-series data derived from the MERRA-2 reanalysis product provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The data correspond to a location in Texas, USA (Latitude 31.0°N, Longitude −100.0°W), selected due to its high potential for solar, wind, and hybrid solar–wind energy generation. The training dataset spans nine years, from 31 December 2009 to 31 December 2018, providing sufficient temporal coverage for the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model to learn long-term seasonal, climatic, and meteorological patterns. The testing dataset covers the period from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019, ensuring no overlap with the training data and enabling unbiased model evaluation.
