资源简介:
Within the agricultural landscape, biocontrol offers a sustainable pathway to combat pathogens while alleviating reliance on chemical pesticides, thereby nurturing eco-conscious plant cultivation. IMGN10, identified as a member of the Pseudomonas alkylphenolica species, belongs to the versatile genus Pseudomonas, renowned for its adaptability and prevalence in agricultural soils, particularly thriving in the rhizosphere. These gram-negative bacteria exhibit a remarkable capacity to produce diverse bioactive compounds, rendering them effective biocontrol agents and enabling them to withstand environmental challenges, thereby aiding in the natural suppression of soilborne pathogens. Within the Pseudomonas family, Pseudomonas alkylphenolica stands out for its efficacy in biofilter applications, notably in the removal of gaseous pollutants such as p-cresol, commonly found in environments like swine farms. Furthermore, by bolstering agro-physiological and biochemical traits associated with tolerance to low phosphorus (P) availability, Pseudomonas alkylphenolica plays a pivotal role in optimizing plant growth and yield. The primary goal of this genome sequencing for Pseudomonas alkylphenolica is to unveil its genetic makeup as a biocontrol agent, thereby laying the groundwork for exploring its mechanisms in pathogen inhibition and facilitation of plant growth.
