Bedrock Geology of Rhode Island

This hosted feature layer has been published in RI State Plane Feet NAD 83. Much new geologic data has been accumulated since A. Quinn published the Rhode Island Geologic Map in 1971. This dataset incorporates recent data. It is presented in digital format at a scale of 1:100,000. The 1994 published Geologic Map of Rhode Island was made from the digital data contained here. The compiled digital database provides users with complete GIS capabilities. The coding of the topology is designed to permit easy use and manipulation of geologic information in the database by the user.本托管要素图层（hosted feature layer）已采用基于1983年北美大地基准（NAD 83）的罗德岛州（Rhode Island，简称RI）平面英尺坐标系发布。自A.奎因（A. Quinn）于1971年发布《罗德岛州地质图》以来，该区域已积累了大量新增地质数据。本数据集纳入了这些近年新增的地质数据，以数字格式发布，比例尺为1:100000。1994年正式出版的《罗德岛州地质图》正是基于本数据集所包含的数字数据编制完成的。本汇编数字数据库可为用户提供完整的地理信息系统（GIS，Geographic Information System）功能支持，其拓扑（topology）编码设计旨在方便用户对数据库内的地质信息进行便捷使用与编辑操作。
