Global dataset of subnational mean farm size

This repository contains all the data and code to recreate the dataset and reproduce the analysis and figures in Fortin et al. Users can also modify the code to update the dataset with new data as per their requirements. The dataset consists of a compilation of subnational and national estimates of mean farm size for 200 countries. If you are simply looking to use the dataset, use GlobalFarmSizeDataset_Calibrated.shp for the spatial data and GlobalFarmSizeDataset_Calibrated.csv for the tabular data. The main column of interest is 'FARMSIZE'. See the readme file for a complete description of the contents of the repository. Version 1.1.0 incorporate some changes from peer review.
