Development of standard protocols for shotgun metagenomics analyses of human fecal microbiota (raw sequencing reads)

To accelerate translation of research on the human microbiome, it is necessary to reduce methodological variations in shotgun metagenomics analysis that compromise comparability and reproducibility across studies. We performed a two-phase study to establish validated protocols for metagenomic analysis of human fecal microbiota.
