Swiss Glacier Flow Velocity (release 2024)

Local ice flow velocity at the surface is measured on selected Swiss glaciers with a focus on long-term variations. Various terrestrial surveying techniques as well as image analysis has been used. Observation have been carried out on seasonal and annual time periods. The measurements are presented for the exact time period and converted to annual flow speed for a normalized period of 365 days. The dataset contains all available observations up to present and is delivered as a .csv file.
