Market Chronicle Public Indicator Ledger — Monthly Snapshot (2026-07) The ledger as it stood at the end of 2026-07, cut at commit 2e5b031c1d (2026-07-31T23:13:28+00:00). Contents are the bytes at that commit, not today's — so this DOI always resolves to the same ledger regardless of when the packaging job happened to run. A frozen, citable copy of the public ledger, with the hash chain that makes silent edits and silent deletions detectable. Evidence, not a data product. Two different archives exist for this edition, and they are not the same file. This Zenodo record archives the repository's source snapshot at the month-end commit: the chain and data are under data/, and the recipe for recomputing them is in data/README.md. A smaller curated bundle (kapx-ledger-2026-07.zip, about 0.3 MB) is attached to the matching GitHub release and additionally carries VERIFY.md with the exact chain formula and MANIFEST.json. Either one is enough to recompute the chain: both carry data/ledger_hashes.jsonl and the tracked data files as they stood at that commit. What this proves: the packaged files hash to the values recorded in the chain, and no day can be removed or altered without breaking every later chain value. What it does not prove: the chain begins 2026-07-19, later than the site's launch; and readings before launch (July 2026) are reproducible backfill from public data, not an ex-ante record. The chain keeps them from being silently edited; it does not age them. The bundle carries two gauges and one ledger of outcomes — the KAPX Index (kindex files) and the Fear-Price Index (leaps and gauge_math files), plus the volatility family, short-flow, short-interest and audit files. The kapx- filename prefix on the GitHub release bundle is a project-level prefix, not a statement of contents. Licensing follows the repository: the compilation, derived metrics and ledger structure are under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0; the underlying values are facts transcribed from public sources and carry no ownership claim from us. The quarterly extracts on Kaggle / Hugging Face are separately released under CC BY 4.0.
