Draft Genome Sequence of Fusarium equiseti strain K3, a fungal species isolated from Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) contaminated soil

Here, we present the draft genome of Fusarium equiseti strain K3, a fungal species isolated from a Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) contaminated soil (Kitengela, Kenya). The 37.88Mb draft genome consists of 206 contigs and 12,311 predicted protein-coding genes, among which 261 code for tRNA. This genome may contribute to our understanding of fungal-bacterial interactions during HCH degradation.
