资源简介:
We used a combined approach of target-capture of Angiosperms353 baits (for 329 individuals) together with genome skimming of whole plastomes and the nuclear ribosomal DNA (nrDNA) tandem repeat cluster (for 259 individuals) to infer the phylogeny of the southern hemisphere Myosotis (Boraginaceae) lineage. This clade comprises a rapid island and mountain species radiation of over 50 different species and subspecies, with a centre of diversity in New Zealand, plus a few species native or endemic to Australia, New Guinea and southern South America. This dataset comprises mostly taxa and individuals endemic or native to New Zealand, plus individuals of both native Australian species, M. exarrhena and M. australis. The following outgroups were also sequenced: four northern hemisphere species of Myosotis (M. arvensis, M. discolor, M. laxa subsp. caespitosa, and M. sylvatica), and one representative each of Bothriospermum and Trigonotis (Boraginaceae). We performed phylogenomic analyses of the Angiosperms353 loci, complete plastomes, and nrDNA, to improve resolution of the Myosotis species radiation, explore biogeographic and morphological patterns within it, and address specific taxonomic questions for each species. Vouchers for 235 of these individuals are available on GBIF (GBIF.org, 23 April 2024, GBIF Occurrence Download https://doi.org/10.15468/dl.w47eqg).
