Supporting dataset for the manuscript "Limits of charge-weighted interaction-position estimation in deep-silicon photon-counting strip detectors"

This record contains the supporting simulation data and analysis materials for the manuscript “Limits on Interaction Position Accuracy in Deep-Silicon Photon-Counting Strip Detectors.” The study investigates how the initial energy-deposition distribution, charge-carrier propagation, finite detector pitch, and electronic noise affect interaction-position estimation in deep-silicon photon-counting detectors. The archived event-level data were generated using Allpix Squared and include deposited-energy and position information, induced strip-signal frames, and charge-propagation summaries. The data are divided into separate archives for a continuous silicon-block geometry and detector pitches of 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25µm. The block dataset contains time- and depth-resolved information used to study the continuous charge-cloud centroid before pixelated readout. The accompanying Jupyter notebook, cached analysis data, and Conda environment specifications reproduce the figures and reported numerical results without requiring the underlying Allpix simulations to be rerun. Files are separated by geometry or detector pitch to permit selective downloading. The simulation data, cached analysis results, and documentation in this record are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The source code contained in the Jupyter notebook and associated analysis scripts is licensed under the MIT License. Third-party software referenced by this dataset remains subject to its respective license.
