Amount of cryptocurrency cybercrime losses among U.S. seniors 2020-2023

Between 2020 and 2023, the amount of monetary loss through cybercrime involving cryptocurrency payments among individuals over 60 years in the United States has increased significantly. In the latest examined year, senior victims of this type of scam reported over 1.3 billion U.S. dollars of losses. In general, cryptocurrency payments are difficult to track, which is also why most cybercrimes involve this payment method.
