中国北方农牧交错带界线的划定是开展该地区相关研究的基础。依据气候中年降水量作为指标划分的北方农牧交错带界线和以土地利用中耕地、草地作为指标划分的北方农牧交错带界线大体一致但有所不同。根据1970-2010年197个国家气象站点数据,计出算20世纪70年代、80年代、90年代和21世纪前10年4个时期的降水量等值线。然后在4个时期,以年降水量400 mm等值线为中心,300 mm等值线为西北界,500 mm等值线为东南界,西北界与东南界未闭合部分根据间隔50mm的降水量等值线值平滑过渡连接。在上述四个时间段内,提取土地利用百分比中耕地、草地均大于15%的连片区域的界线。该数据集包括:(1)基于气候数据划定的4个时期(1970-2010)的农牧交错带界线;(2)基于土地利用百分比数据划定的4个时期(1970-2010)北方农牧交错带界线。数据集地理区域涉及区域包括内蒙古、宁夏、黑龙江、吉林、辽宁、河北、北京、山西、陕西和甘肃共10个省(市、自治区)。该数据集的初步研究成果发表在《地理学报》2017年72卷第3期。该数据集由62个数据文件组成,以.shp、.kmz格式存储,数据量为202 KB(压缩为9个文件,161 KB)。
Defining the boundary of the agro-pastoral ecotone in northern China is the foundation for relevant research in this region. Boundaries of the agro-pastoral ecotone in northern China delineated using mean annual precipitation as the indicator are generally consistent but slightly different from those delineated using the proportions of cultivated land and grassland in land use as indicators. Based on data from 197 national meteorological stations during 1970–2010, precipitation isolines for four periods, namely the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and the 2000s (first decade of the 21st century), were calculated. For each of the four periods, the 400 mm mean annual precipitation isoline was taken as the center, the 300 mm isoline as the northwestern boundary, and the 500 mm isoline as the southeastern boundary. The unclosed segments of the northwestern and southeastern boundaries were smoothly connected using precipitation isoline values at 50 mm intervals. Within the above four time periods, the boundaries of contiguous regions where both the proportions of cultivated land and grassland in land use exceeded 15% were extracted. This dataset includes: (1) Boundaries of the agro-pastoral ecotone for four periods (1970–2010) delineated using climatic data; (2) Boundaries of the agro-pastoral ecotone in northern China for four periods (1970–2010) delineated using land use proportion data. The geographical scope of this dataset covers 10 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions: Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing Municipality, Shanxi, Shaanxi, and Gansu. Preliminary research results of this dataset were published in *Acta Geographica Sinica*, Vol. 72, No. 3, 2017. This dataset consists of 62 data files stored in .shp and .kmz formats, with a total size of 202 KB (compressed into 9 files, 161 KB).
