These projects were developed for a workshop given by Carl Mason and Emilio Zagheni at The Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock Germany June 2010 and improved for a similar workshop at Centro de Desenvolvimento e Planejamento Regional de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte Brazil in August 2013
