Microbial community of shrimp intestine, water and sediment in a novel ecosystem named Aquamimicry

Pacific white shrimp, with the largest production in shrimp industry, has suffered from multiple diseases. The Aquamimicry system has effectively increased shrimp production in many countries. However, the microbial communities of shrimp intestine and surrounding environment that play essential roles in shrimp farming remain largely unknown. In this study, the microbial alteration of composition and diversity in shrimp intestine, environmental water and sediment at different culture stages were investigated.
