The issue of visas to foreigners includes short-stay Schengen visas, valid for the metropolis and sometimes for the overseas departments and, with few exceptions, for the territory of all other Schengen States, as well as long-stay visas valid for the metropolis and the overseas departments.外国人士签证相关事宜包含两类签证：一是短期申根签证（Schengen Visa），其适用范围包括签证签发国本土，部分情形下可适用于该国海外省，且除极少数例外情况外，可覆盖其余所有申根成员国的领土；二是适用于签证签发国本土及其海外省的长期签证。
