资源简介:
With support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) Round II, in 2007, PSI/Cambodia began implementing a 5-year program targeting private health service providers in malaria endemic areas of Cambodia. The purpose of the program is to increase access to and demand for early diagnosis and treatment (EDAT) for malaria throughout malaria endemic provinces in the country by making rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) and pre-packed combination therapy (PPT) available among private providers through a high coverage social marketing (SM) strategy, which involves the procurement & targeted distribution of EDAT products; advertising & promotion of behaviors and products; and training private health service providers. This study forms part of the research portfolio supporting program activities. It is the first round of a sequence of surveys that will be delivered over the course of the 5-year program. The two key objectives of the survey are to: i) provide a baseline against which future changes in key behaviors and behavioral determinants can be evaluated; and ii) ident ify the key determinants of the provision of PPT and RDT among the target audience of private health service providers.
