Bacterial communities in Haemaphysalis, Dermacentor and Amblyomma ticks collected from wild boars of an Orang Asli Community in Malaysia

Partial V6 hypervariable region 16s rRNA gene amplicons were prepared from DNA extracted from Dermacentor, Amblyomma and Haemaphysalis ticks collected from 3 individual of wild boars from an indigenous community (Orang Asli). The amplicons were sequenced on the Ion Torrent platform to provide baseline information on the bacterial communities associated with these ticks.
