Bacterial 16S and Fungal ITS amplicons from a mesocosm experiment to investigate the role of biotic and abiotic interactions in the stabilisation and persistence of soil organic carbon. Part of NERC funded project LOCKED UP: The role of biotic and abiotic interactions in the stabilisation and persistence of soil organic carbon. Data is from laboratory incubated soils with experimental manipulation of mineralogy (unamended, kaolinite, montmorillonite and goethite) and plant litter quality (no litter, winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) and white clover (Trifolium repens)).
